Hello, I’m Cadell. I recently graduated from Cardiff Metropolitan University where I studied sport and exercise science. During my final year on my course, I decided that I wanted to focus and get into a career in the health and exercise path, rather than a sporting performance route. I am certified in Activator, spinal manipulation, and mobilization. I am Bristol born and my hobbies are, playing cricket, going to the gym and watching football.
During university, I was always intrigued with modules that included human anatomy and physiology, this is what encouraged me to train as a spinal therapist. I have completed numerous courses and have had first-hand training from Dr. Mandeep Bahra, enabling me to perform spinal adjustments and reach my potential. I have always had a passion and endeavor to implement my skills and help people. Since I’ve started here, I have helped a number and variety of patients to relieve their pain and reach their goals. I really enjoy working at Reco Spinal Center where I am involved in a talented team that works together to achieve the best for our patients.

Hello, my name is Paula, and I am a final year student in Sports rehabilitation at UWE Bristol. Ever since a young age I have been very interested in sports which led me to participate in dance for about 11 years alongside competing in gymnastics and athletics competitions. Due to my sporting background, I am highly aware of the different injuries that may occur and the limitations which they may cause for the athlete. I have always had an interest in massage and used to love practicing with my parents. Therefore, due to my interest in both sport and massage the idea of sports rehabilitation came about and I ended up moving from Newquay, Cornwall to Bristol to pursue my dream within the healthcare industry. During my time on the course some of the modules which I have found most interesting included: anatomy, human physiology, and psychology. Working within my previous clinical placements has shown me how rewarding this job can be when seeing the improvements in your patients. This job allows me be learning and improve every day while allowing me to also help others at the same time.
After achieving a BSc degree in sports science, she went on to lecture in anatomy and physiology at Bath college . Thereafter Mandeep began a 4 year degree in Chiropractic at the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth, graduating in 2009. A member of the United Chiropractic Association and the scottish chiropractic association , she is registered on the General Chiropractic Council and opened Reco Chiropractic in spring 2011.
Her interest in chiropractic began after a car accident left her with severe whiplash. She visited a chiropractor and not only did the treatments heal her injury, but also unexpectedly alleviated her chronic eczema, from which she had suffered for years. She became an instant convert to the whole body benefits of chiropractic care, which is not just for back pain, but can be used to treat a wide range of conditions — some people even recommend it for headaches! With a passion for paediatrics to general back and neck pain, she works with a variety of patients, from babies and expectant mothers to athletes and the elderly, helping them to maintain their well-being and vitality.
I am Eddie and you can call me Ed. I was born and raised in Sweden and decided to move to England for my 5 year chiropractic education, at the AECC University College, in Bournemouth. The education has given me a degree in BSc of Human Sciences as well as an MSc of Chiropractic. I am a member of the United Chiropractic Association and registered with the General Chiropractic Council.
My mom suffers from fibromyalgia and being her son enabled me to see how that has affected and is still affecting her life. She has been to a lot of different kinds of healthcare professionals without any improvements, until she was seeking chiropractic care. The chiropractor she saw helped her immensely with managing her condition, so I felt it was a natural step for me to become a chiropractor myself.
Every day I am seeing people getting better and being the one that helps and guides them to an improved quality of life means the world to me.
Hi, I am Manuel and I am originally from the Philippines where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. I practiced as a nurse before gaining an interest in chiropractic and going on to further education and qualifying as a chiropractor.
I have joined the Reco team with a lot of experience in healthcare, I worked for various health care positions in Bristol from looking after the elderly and patients with learning disabilities to looking after patients with neurological disorders at the same time witnessing how patients recovered from surgery.
I registered with General Chiropractic Council after graduation, I am a member of British Chiropractic Association and United Chiropractic Association. I’m also keen on updated research, so I am currently undergoing further education with the for Royal College of Chiropractic.
My interest in chiropractic came about when I witnessed a patient being helped with co-ordination with chiropractic who suffered from Parkinson’s and this led to my decision to go back to university and qualify as one.
I feel rewarded each time I see patients RECOvered from pain, muscle RECOnditioned and whose life RECOnstructed brought down by body pains
Hello, my name is Haiya Mattia and I will be doing my A levels of Chemistry, Biology, History and Psychology. My previous experiences are all volunteering based and raising funds as well as awareness for charity, as I enjoy helping and making things easier for people around me. I have recently completed my National Citizen Service and I helped raise over £670 for the Wallace and Gromit’s The Grand Appeal. This involved hosting lots of coffee mornings, cake sales, sponsored cycling and speaking to the public.
I regularly participate in exercise by going on runs, playing football with friends, playing basketball and previously I played lots of Netball in school and externally. I was also in 5 sports clubs throughout my 5 years of secondary school which led to me getting the Sports Personality award for 2016/2017, as well as other awards annually. I moved to England from The Gambia (where I was born) at the age of 7 and have lived in Bristol ever since, I am very happy to be apart of the team and look forward to welcoming you
Hello, my name is Chris. I was born in Saudi Arabia but my motherland is The Philippines. I moved around quite a bit when I was a child and came to England when I was 10 years old. I am a massage therapist currently doing my Level 5 in Sports and Remedial. I decided to pursue Sports Therapy after almost injuring myself. After seeing a personal trainer/sports massage therapist, I really wanted to gain more knowledge to be able to help myself as well as others to avoid the risk of injuries.
I am familiar with a wide range of body types and physical conditions and I have a natural interest in understanding and remedying the complications of the human body. I aim to combine this with my professional understanding of massage techniques to ease clients’ physical tension and help them feel more comfortable in their day-to-day lives. Massage is amazing not just for the physical benefits but mentally as well. I am very much looking forward to be part of Reco Team and continuing my journey. My hobbies include cooking, reading, being active; exercise, yoga, nature, and most of all learning and being able to help those around me.
Hello, my name is Jodie Black, I have recently completed my Diploma in Sports Injury and Rehab Education. I am a member and fully insured by the Society of Sports Therapists. I decided to become a Sports Therapist after being inspired for those who treated me throughout my many injuries whilst playing Regional Netball. My previous experience includes working with Hungerford Town Football Club, a National League South team, during the 2016/17 season.
I am from Swindon, and have lived there all my life. I love to stay active whether that be going for a run, attending the gym, or playing netball. I started playing netball at the age of 8, from then on I’ve always worked my way up through the teams, and travelled all over the country. My team and I qualified for the National Finals, meaning we had to travel all the way to Loughborough. I am a caring and friendly individual who would love to help you with any complaints you are experiencing.
Hello there, I’m Ryan and I’m a sports massage therapist who has graduated from Swansea university studying sports science. I have been working for almost a year and a half now and loving every minute of it! My skills include; deep tissue massage, soft tissue release, muscular energy techniques, neuromuscular techniques and kinesiology taping. I’m a keen traveller where I have visited Australia, Thailand, Philippines, Guatemala, Belize, Mexico and the majority of Europe!
Each country gave me a different experience and a real insight into cultures around the world which I believe has helped shaped the person I am today. I love all sports but predominantly football where I play for my local team, Rodborough Old Boys FC every Saturday.
Sustaining an ankle injury when I was playing youth football and receiving treatment and going through the rehabilitation process has inspired me to take this career path. I’m always trying to better myself and my profession and as a result, I am currently making my way through John Gibbons BodyMaster Method courses to become a BodyMaster Practioner!
My name is Maddie Berry. I’ve just completed my interview, boot camp and an observation at Reco.
My observation today went really well. I found it fascinating to watch Manuel work on his patient. It surprised me how strong and pronounced the physical movements and adjustments are. I also noticed how clean and organized the treatment rooms were, something that I can imagine takes a lot of diligence from staff to maintain at such a high standard. I believe details like cleanliness throughout the clinic adds to the positive patient experience. I know that as a patient walking in to a Reco treatment room I would feel assured and confident that I would receive great care.
I was also grateful to be able to observe more of reception before the appointment. One of the things I really love about Reco is how much care goes in each patient from the beginning of the experience until the moment they leave. I’ve never been to a clinic before that offers you coffee and tea and has such a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The kindness and enthusiasm shown between staff and patients is what really attracts me to this position. The tenets of Reco’s culture align really well with how I like to practice customer service and I think it would be a great environment to work in and develop professionally. There was nothing in the experience I had this morning that I didn’t like.
I believe I would be a great addition to the Reco Team. I would bring many years experience of high quality customer service as well as a goal to create friendly and courteous relationships with each patient who walked through the door. Also, I’m confident that I would be able to learn the vast number of services and the relevant chiropractic and massage therapy information to properly inform existing and prospective patients in a detailed manner. I pride myself on having a super positive and amiable personality that would mesh well with current team members and patients!
Hi, my name is Imogen Edney, most people call me Immy. After completing a level 3 Diploma with distinction in Massage Therapies, I have spent the last year studying Sports Massage in which I have also just qualified. I am passionate about helping people feel better, whether it is to relieve aches and pains or simply to relax and destress from the busy world that we live in.
After qualifying in Massage Therapy I have been working out of a local salon helping people improve their quality of life through massage. I am keen to learn and am striving to complete the next level in Sports Therapy.
I am a positive, happy, enthusiastic person who loves to meet new people and socialise. To enable me to attend college I have also worked in retail and customer services which has further increased my passion for providing people with a stand out service.
I am therefore very excited to be joining the team at Reco where I can continue with my journey of helping people by providing a highly personal and attentive service.
Hi, my name is Red and I have just made my exciting move to Bristol from Totnes in Devon. I am a newly qualified massage therapist, with a qualification in Holistic Massage from the Richdales Institute in London and currently studying Remedial Massage at the School of Bodywork in Exeter.
I am a big believer in health and well-being and want to learn as much as I can about all types of complimentary therapies.
I believe that cultivating a self awareness is integral to a healthy mind and body. When we take care of both equally we can bring about a happier way of living, and use the tools that we learn from therapies such as chiropractic and massage into our day to day life.
I am very happy to be part of the Reco team and share the the benefits of self care with the people of Bristol!
Hi I am Etienne, I have joined Reco chiropractic after studying as a chiropractor in France, and working there for the previous 2 years. My interest in chiropractic came about after my cousin had trained as a chiropractor. I have studied at the Institute of French European Chiropractic (French school) for 6 years and passed the ECC where i have obtained a Masters’ Degree of chiropractic and permitted to work as a Doctor of Chiropractic in France.
I have learnt various chiropractic techniques throughout my career, and I am enjoying learning more about chiropractic biophysics, which is a technique that is implemented here at Reco.
I am also interested in learning Chinese medicine, homeopathy, and acupuncture in the future. I love nature and being in the outdoors. When you meet me you will notice I have a very strong French accent, as I am also practicing my English in UK.
Chandrima has joined the team whilst she was completing Masters’ Degree in International HRM from UWE, Bristol. Chandrima is originally from Agartala, India and is a fantastic cook, be sure to ask her about her culinary skills. She moved to UK in 2015 and has later moved to Bristol on September 2016. She has always been excited about being a part of Reco team and enjoys seeing patients realizing the wonderful, healing benefits of Chiropractic care. She joined Reco on April 2017 and has immensely grown along with the team.
Chandrima has worked in an array of fields including administration, project and people management as well as customer service. In her spare time, she enjoys listening to Indian music and driving out to the beach when she gets the chance to enjoy the sand and sun. She was associated with NHSBT as her work placement which motivated her more in helping people to do something extraordinary.
Chandrima is a great asset to the practice. She joined as Chiropractic Assistant and worked at the clinic till February 2018. After that entire 2018 till March 2019 she supported the team online from India. She had a great journey with Reco starting at a junior level and now managing the entire team as well as the patient. She greets each patient as they arrive for their appointment, checks patients in and out, and assists in other departments, as needed. She is excited to be a part of the Reco Chiropractic Family Centre team as it has been an eye-opening experience for her to witness the benefits of chiropractic care every day.
